The Good Shepherd (Lakeside)
In John chapter 10, facing a crowd of Pharisees that scoff at his claims, and crowds of onlookers who are in need of hope, Jesus tells a parable. The shepherd, his voice, and the sheep that follow. The pen, the gate, and those who enter in. In the simplest yet most profound way, Jesus reaches back into the scriptures his listeners know and then draws from the every day life they experience, to make it undeniably clear exactly who he claims to be, and the incredible sacrifice God has made to rescue His own.
