Onesimus
When we have done something we regret it can be hard to go back and face what we have done. It seems an easier path is to hope there just wasn’t too much damage, or it won’t really affect that many people, or we can keep that incident far from us in our past. But in the church, God never intended for anything to be swept under the carpet nor that we bear any of our burdens alone. In the account of Onesimus and Philemon, we learn how we are called to a ministry of reconciliation, acting as intercessors to help our brothers and sisters mend broken relationships, and thus heal the body of Christ.
