Job On Trial
The book of Job plays itself out as a sort of court scene. Satan, the Accuser, puts Job and God on trial. He accuses God of bribing Job for his loyalty, and accuses Job of only loving God’s blessings, not God Himself. As we continue our look into Job we will examine the clever arguments made by the prosecution (Eliphaz, Bildad, and Zophar), to see if the accusations will stand. As we do so, we will uncover the danger of half-truths and the need for careful discernment when applying the Word of God.
