God’s Will And Our Prayer
God invites us to come to Him in prayer, to bring our burdens and to bring our needs to Him. It is such a gracious invitation we can sometimes forget that the context of all prayer is God’s will. “Thy will be done” comes before “give us this day…” If we are not careful our prayers can become a contest of wills. Ours vs God’s. So how do we pray according to His will? How can we avoid praying, as even Paul and the prophets sometimes did, outside of God’s will? He has provided instruction, an intercessor, and an example for us.
