Welcome to Lakeside Youth Connect
Lakeside Youth Connect is a safe place where youth (grades 6-12) can be themselves and feel valued and cared for. We strive to provide a place for youth to feel part of a positive community where they can meet up with their friends or make new ones. The teen years can go by quickly and we want to help students make the most of them.
We believe youth learn, grow and connect through experiences that include receiving and giving. We provide weekly programs filled with fun, food, adventures and group discussion, completely focused on the youth. We also create opportunities for the youth to give back to the communities around them, using their gifts and talents and developing leadership skills.
Finally, our desire is that while youth have fun and serve they also have time to Connect with God and explore for themselves what they believe, growing in faith over their teen years.
JR Youth
Grades 6-8 meet Tuesdays from 3:30-6pm
JR Youth begins with a much-deserved snack after a long day at school and some ‘hang out’ time with friends. This is followed with a fun, interactive presentation and group discussion time. And to end a great evening, be prepared for fun and adventure with an exciting activity each week.
SR Youth
SR Youth Grades 9-12 meet Wednesdays from 3:30-8pm
in ‘The Foundation’ Youth Lounge (basement of the church office building). Our time together begins with a chill, ‘hang out’ time with snacks and youth playing games, video games, being crafty or even finishing off homework. We then move into a community dinner, that youth will sometimes have opportunities to prepare. All followed up by the chance to get into groups for discussion and learning. To top off the night – we finish with a super fun activity or event
On the last Wednesday of the month, our time after dinner is completely devoted to fun-filled antics and a perfect night to relax, chill out and have great community time.
