Lakeside Church in Haliburton, Ontario is a contemporary, family-oriented church with ministries for all ages. We welcome you to join us for worship on Sunday morning, or for any of our weekday events or activities.

YOUR FIRST VISIT

Things look a little different, but we are happy to be able to meet safely again. There are no capacity, mask or social distance restrictions in effect at this time (summer 2022). However, for various reasons some people may still be more comfortable wearing a mask or social distancing while attending our services and social events. We welcome and respect all individual choices.

Not everyone is comfortable coming to a new church so we hope that what you learn on this page can make you feel right at home quickly. You can also join us live to get a feel for things first on Facebook and on the website.

Parking and Greeting
We have lots of convenient parking right in front of the church by the tennis courts. If you have mobility challenges and require a level entrance, please make use of the rear parking lot that has an entry without steps to the auditorium level. Once you get inside the doors you will be welcomed by one of our friendly greeters who can answer any questions you have about the facility or direct you to the information center.

If you are a few minutes early, make sure to find the Library Café and get a coffee or tea and a cookie.  You will probably meet someone you already know as well.

Children
We have Children’s programming (Kids Church) for children JK to grade 5. If your children have never been checked into our program before, please head downstairs for grade school children, introduce yourself and register your family so we can check them in and out of Sunday School properly when the time comes.

Children are welcome in the service for the entire time if they are not ready to dive into Kids Church, or they can join their friends when they arrive in our Jr. Church location downstairs.

The Worship Service

Our Sunday service is about 1 hour and 15 minutes in length and opens up with contemporary music and singing. After this the children are dismissed for Kids Church. We celebrate together with music, prayer, and hearing from the Word of God. Some people find large crowds a little intimidating for the first time, and we welcome anyone who wants to join us to take advantage of the video monitors in our lobby and the Library Café for a quieter atmosphere. There are always people enjoying the service from those quieter locations.

After The Service
Stick around and meet new people or catch up with friends. The best conversations happen right after the service and it’s a great time to find out what Next Steps you can take in being a part of the Lakeside Family. If you have any other questions, stop by the information desk in the lobby and anyone you see with a name-tag will be happy to help. Check out our Top Ten Ways To Feel At Home.

You can also find the sermon audio and video online here at the website within a day or so if you want to listen again or missed a Sunday.

We hope you have a great visit!

Rev. Paul Graham, Lead Pastor

Paul Graham

Paul grew up on a farm just outside of London, Ontario, and attended high school in Dorchester, the best outcome of which was meeting his future wife, Wendi. After university, a decade of building and running a dot-com technology start-up with his other partners gave way to his calling to full-time ministry in the local church.  Paul is head over heels in love with the local church, with a passion to see it growing, healthy, and laser focused on its mission to see God glorified in all ways among all people through Jesus Christ.
