Hope In Our Identity

Speaker:
Passage: Isaiah 43:1

More than ever in our culture today we see the importance people are placing on their identity. The hope they are placing on being recognized and accepted by their group, the right group, an affirming group. The need to define themselves in terms of the identity they have made their own. The streets fill with protests over issues of identity, and our children face increasing pressure to lay claim to, and be loyal to a specific identity or else face being overlooked or even ostracized. How can we find hope in the confusing and increasingly pressurized politics of identity today?
