There is a point when even the rich recognize their poverty. Jesus is approached by a Roman centurion in need of healing for his servant. Military doctors, household remedies, wealth, influence, Roman deities, nothing this man had access to could meet his need. Finally he reaches a point where he acknowledges the power and authority of Jesus to accomplish what he was powerless to do. And Jesus commends his faith. What quality of the centurions faith is also important for us to understand as we come to Jesus?
