In 1 Corinthians 11, the Apostle Paul offers a not-so-gentle correction to the church on the right practice of communion. During this service as we took communion we considered, verse by verse, Paul’s reminder of what communion is meant for the Christian and the church, responding in prayer and song at each interval. Communion is for unity, generosity, compassion, worship, proclamation, confession, nourishment and restoration. (Note, recording edited to the teaching portions).
