During the Sunday morning services we have Sunday School classes for children in the age groups from birth through 18. The classes are split as follows Age 0-1, Age 2 & 3, JK to Grade 5, Jr. High Grades 6-8, Sr. High Girls, Sr. High Boys.
The basic objective of the curriculum is to promote intellectual, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth. Instruction, play, prayer, songs, stories and scripture memorization is all based on Biblical principles. These engaging experiences introduce the children & youth to God and His love, ignite a desire for a relationship with Jesus Christ and equip them to serve Him.
The classrooms reflect a positive, pleasant, warm and loving atmosphere in dealing with each student’s needs and behaviours. The Sunday School Teachers are supported and encouraged in their ministry roles in order that a Christ-centered approach in teaching the children & youth is being upheld. All the Sunday School Teachers have taken the Plan to Protect Training and have up-to-date Police Checks.
The role of a Sunday School Teacher is to be a loving and supportive Christian role model in demonstrating the importance of growing in relationship with God and gaining understanding of God’s unchanging character. A Sunday School Teacher’s role and commitment include teaching 2 weeks per month with a time commitment of 1-3 hours a week to prepare, set-up and teach.
